The Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association has just issued a plan to organize the journey "Students with national aspirations" towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
The program aims to propagate and educate association officials, members and students about the purpose, significance and value of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the patriotic historical tradition, promote revolutionary heroism, affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and express deep gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
Along with that is the awareness of protecting sovereignty and national border security among students, affirming the role of Vietnamese students determined to study, following the spirit of previous generations of students and young heroes.
According to the plan, the journey back to the source will have the participation of 200 delegates (70 delegates participating in the journey and 130 delegates are students in Dien Bien province).
Time starts from April 25 to April 28 to locations including Dien Bien Phu city and Muong Nhe district (Dien Bien province).
During the journey, students will have the opportunity to exchange and continue the tradition of "Students with aspirations for the country", visit historical sites and red addresses associated with the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
At the same time, he visited A Pa Chai Border Guard Station (Muong Nhe district), donated resources, and coordinated the construction of the A Pa Chai commune sovereignty flagpole on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
In addition, students will also participate in social security activities in Muong Nhe district, contributing to the protection of sovereignty, socio-economic development, and taking care of families with meritorious services to the revolution.
