After more than 3 weeks of launching, the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 (FARC 2025) has closed the registration phase with a total of 800 registered teams, of which 636 teams met the requirements of the Organizing Committee and were eligible to officially compete.
These 636 teams come from 59 provinces/cities across the country. The localities with the largest number of teams include Hanoi (97 teams), Ho Chi Minh City (71 teams), Dong Nai (31 teams)... showing the widespread and even spread of opportunities to access technology among regions.
These numbers not only demonstrate the strong appeal of a technology playground for high school students, but also affirm the creative spirit and growing interest of Vietnamese youth in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Quan - Director of Admissions at FPT University, FPT Corporation and Head of the Organizing Committee - said that the number of registered teams exceeded the initial expectation. He shared: “These numbers reflect the interest of students and high schools in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. FPTU AI & Robotics is not only a simple technology playground but also part of FPT University's long-term goal of spreading the spirit of learning in the field of STEAM in general education”.

Not only attracting a large number of participants, FARC 2025 also witnessed the participation of many "veteran" teams, who have competed and achieved high results in technology arenas at home and abroad. In particular, the Rise and Shine team of Hai Ba Trung High School - Thach That (Hanoi) won the Vietnam Robotics Challenge 2023, won the Most Favorite Robot and Impressive Design awards at the Vietnam STEM Robotics Championship 2023. Notably, Rise and Shine won the 1st Place Inspire Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge Vietnam and became the representative of Vietnam to compete at the FIRST Championship 2025 in the US on April 15-19, 2025.
M2F Team of Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted (Vinh Long) won the Third Prize of Vietnam Open Robotics Challenge 2023 and the Best Connection Award of Vietnam Open Robotics Challenge 2024.

The presence of these experienced teams not only improves professional quality but also creates a special attraction for FARC 2025, promising dramatic intellectual battles, breakthrough ideas and inspiring competitive spirit among young talents across the country.
Contestant Nguyen Tan Phuc (M2F Team, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted) shared: “Through the competition, my team and I will be able to challenge ourselves and learn from other teams nationwide. In addition, I want to practice skills such as teamwork, problem-solving thinking and presenting ideas. Being able to participate in a big competition like FARC 2025 is the motivation for my team to delve deeper into our favorite technology field.”
From May 5 to 14 and from June 3 to 7, the teams will enter an intensive online training phase on AI and robotics, preparing basic knowledge before "going to war". In which, 1 session will introduce the rules, format of the competition and how to calculate scores. 3 sessions on AI will help the teams understand the basics of artificial intelligence, how to use PartyRock - a tool that will be used directly in the competition - and practice perfecting AI applications. 5 training sessions on Robotics will help students understand the basics of robots, the applications of robotics in life, answer all questions about the competition topic, practice some steps in the topic, refer to practical experiences in building robots and how to build a Robotics club at high school.
FARC 2025 will have 3 main rounds: AI Programming Competition (May 31 and June 1); Regional Robotics Competition (June 16 - July 10) and National Final (August 2 - 3). The scoring criteria are designed to comprehensively evaluate the teams' capabilities, ensuring fairness and accurately reflecting the ability to apply AI as well as design, program and control robots effectively.

The theme of FARC 2025 is “Sustainable Agriculture”. The teams need to invent robots that can collaborate with farmers, thereby building an advanced agriculture, applying modern technology but still imbued with Vietnamese identity. With this challenge, the organizers hope to find talented inventors and creators in the fields of agriculture and robotics, opening up many breakthrough solutions for the future.
The contest will award many attractive prizes and scholarships to contestants in the AI programming round and the National Final round with a total value of up to 13 billion VND.
FARC 2025 is not only a competition, but also a vibrant practice environment where students can develop their technological thinking, teamwork skills, and access modern scientific trends. This is also an opportunity for the education community and parents to see the outstanding potential of the young generation in their journey to conquer the future with technology.
