In addition, the procedures are being carried out to implement the Project of constructing a coastal corridor in Tra Vinh province (old) and a coastal road connecting Ben Tre province (old) with Tien Giang province (old) and Tra Vinh (old), in which the Ba Lai 8 Bridge has been started with a total investment of 2,225 billion VND...
However, according to the assessment, the current infrastructure system is not synchronous, the province has 9 national highways with about 683km (QL1, QL53, QL53B, QL54, QL57, QL57B, QL57C, QL60 and QL80) and 34 provincial roads with 976km. Due to difficulties in capital sources, most of them have not been invested to the technical level according to the approved planning. Therefore, they have not met the increasing traffic demand. In addition, there are 6 ferry terminals on the national highways, making it difficult to attract investment.
