Right from the first days after the merger, the leaders of the new Gia Lai province identified investment attraction as a key task. Incentive mechanisms and administrative procedure reforms were implemented drastically, shortening the time for processing documents to 118 days (compared to the regulation of 242 days), and for projects in industrial parks, it took only about 60 days (compared to the regulation of 145 days).
The application of a streamlined two-tier government and the digitization of all procedures has helped reduce intermediary levels, improving transparency and service efficiency.
Not only reforming procedures, the province also proactively arranges clean industrial land fund of 20 - 30 hectares per year, with competitive rental price of 25 - 60 USD/m2 for 50 years. Technical infrastructure is prepared synchronously so that enterprises can quickly implement projects. Tax, land and credit policies are flexibly adjusted, creating more attraction compared to many other localities.

“The success of enterprises is also the success of the province,” affirmed Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan, emphasizing the spirit of companionship through regular dialogues with the business community and large-scale promotion conferences.
Thanks to that, in just the first 7 months of 2025, Gia Lai has attracted 123 new projects with a total registered capital of over VND57,400 billion, spanning many fields; including 9 FDI projects worth over USD1 billion. The province also granted certificates to 1,674 newly established enterprises - a record number.
Series of big projects create infrastructure boost
August 19th became an important milestone when Gia Lai simultaneously started and inaugurated 8 key projects, with a total capital of tens of thousands of billions of VND.
Including Phu Cat airport runway 2 worth more than 3,200 billion VND, expanding air transport and logistics capacity; Phu My industrial park with a scale of 436 hectares with a capital of nearly 4,600 billion VND developed according to a green model; Vinanutrifood agricultural and forestry processing factory worth 500 billion VND applying AI and blockchain.
At the same time, three industrial clusters of Binh Thanh, Cat Hiep, and Cat Hanh also started construction, creating more production space for small and medium enterprises. Two strategic routes connecting the west of the province to the coast and the Phu Phong bypass were also inaugurated, expanding the space for urban-industrial development and significantly shortening the transportation time from the Central Highlands to the sea.

In addition to new projects, the existing “eagles” continue to increase the heat. Becamex VSIP - a joint venture with Singapore, accelerates the progress of the industrial park; MerryLand Quy Nhon tourism complex with a capital of 57,000 billion VND shapes an international destination; CK54 Pleiku urban area with a scale of 17,200 billion VND becomes a highlight on the plateau.
In addition, many corporations from Korea, Japan, Germany and Singapore have surveyed and expressed interest in the fields of processing industry, renewable energy and seaport services.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the simultaneous implementation of 8 key projects is a testament to the spirit of innovation, high determination and an important first step in the sustainable development phase.
In particular, at the end of this year, Gia Lai will organize the 2025 Investment and Trade Promotion Conference, an event expected to strongly promote the image of the province after the merger.
The conference is expected to gather about 500 delegates and major corporations.
In addition to the main session, the conference will also feature an OCOP product display area, AI technology experiences, site surveys, cooperation signings, and investment certificate awards. The province aims to sign about 50 new projects with a total capital of over 3 billion USD.

Opportunity for comprehensive breakthrough
The new Gia Lai not only has the second largest area in the country, with a population of more than 3.1 million people, but also holds a strategic position: the closest gateway from the Central Highlands to the East Sea, connecting the development triangle of Laos - Cambodia - Thailand.
The combination of the vast plateau and the fertile coastal strip opens up opportunities for the entire chain of development: from agriculture - forestry, fishery to processing industry, renewable energy, eco-tourism. A series of large projects have been and are being planned: the resort - marina De Gi - Vung Boi, the Phu Hoa lake tourist urban area (Quy Nhon), complex urban areas, golf courses in Pleiku.
Connecting infrastructure is also being invested synchronously: Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway is expected to start construction in 2025; Phu My deep-water port capable of receiving 150,000-ton ships will be completed in 2028; Phu Cat - Pleiku dual airport system will be expanded, creating a modern logistics network, making Gia Lai a new industrial - commercial center of the Central - Central Highlands region.
According to the plan, the province focuses on developing five pillars: processing and manufacturing industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture , seaport services - logistics and urban development; accompanied by three breakthroughs: perfecting institutions, connecting infrastructure and human resource training.

With political determination, social consensus and the increasing presence of large corporations, Gia Lai is expected to achieve GRDP growth of 7.3 - 7.6% in 2025 and break through to double digits in the period 2026 - 2030.
From open policies, a series of large projects simultaneously starting construction to new opportunities stretching from the mountains to the sea, Gia Lai is affirming its position as a land of opportunity. The door is wide open, the red carpet is laid out, and the “eagles” are choosing this place to nest.
