The Hydrometeorological Station of the Northern Delta and Midlands forecasts that on October 20, Hanoi will have showers and thunderstorms with cold weather in the morning. The afternoon and evening will be sunny.

This weather condition may persist for several days in the capital. By the night of October 22, the temperature will tend to drop, reaching the cold threshold.

AccuWeather forecasts that on October 20, Hanoi's air quality will remain at unhealthy levels with an air quality index (AQI) of around 100 (a good level is 0-50). With this air quality index, sensitive people are advised to avoid outdoor activities.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also forecasts that the North will receive two cold air waves in the coming days. Of these, from October 22, the cold air may affect the mainland, causing rain and lowering temperatures.
