The plan aims to inspect and evaluate compliance with food safety laws of establishments producing and trading food for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Timely detect, prevent, and handle violations, protect people's health. Evaluate the direction and enhance the responsibility of all levels and sectors in food safety management; implementation period is from August 15, 2025 to October 10, 2025 in 126 communes and wards.
Inspection activities focus on strengthening propaganda and education to raise awareness and practices for producers, traders and food consumers during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Propaganda content for target groups such as: food production facilities, especially moon cake and confectionery production facilities and consumers about regulations on hygiene conditions, origin of raw materials, labeling, cake preservation, warnings about moldy and expired cakes...
For inspection and post-inspection activities: Departments, branches and People's Committees of wards and communes establish interdisciplinary and specialized inspection teams. Inspection focus: moon cakes, raw materials, additives, packaging, labels...
The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Health , the Standing Office of the City's Food Safety Steering Committee, to take the lead in developing and implementing a plan to ensure food safety during the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival. Develop plans and organize the implementation of food safety management activities within the scope of the health sector's responsibility. Inspect and supervise compliance with food safety laws at food production, processing and trading establishments according to decentralization.
At the same time, coordinate with departments, branches and People's Committees of wards and communes in inspection work. Cooperate with press and television agencies to promote propaganda of food safety measures to people. Synthesize, evaluate and report the results of implementing the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival food safety plan to the City People's Committee and the Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety.
