Hanoi has 2 more specialized high schools

According to Decision No. 265/QD-UBND dated January 15, 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to reorganize Son Tay High School into Son Tay Specialized High School under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The school's address is at No. 57, Den Va Street, Trung Hung Ward, Son Tay Town.

Decision No. 266/QD-UBND dated January 15, 2025, Hanoi People's Committee clearly stated, reorganizing Chu Van An High School into Chu Van An High School for the Gifted under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The school address is at No. 10, Thuy Khue Street, Thuy Khue Ward, Tay Ho District.

According to the above two decisions, these two schools are organized and operated in compliance with current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training for specialized high schools as prescribed. The schools are under the direct and comprehensive direction and management of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and other relevant agencies.

Previously, Son Tay High School and Chu Van An High School recruited students for both non-specialized and specialized programs. According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , when officially becoming specialized schools, the enrollment quota for non-specialized programs of the two schools will no longer exist.
