Over the past week, Hanoi CDC has coordinated with relevant units to monitor, investigate, and handle epidemics in areas with active cases and outbreaks, recording larvae nests in many tools such as open tanks, scrap tires, flower pots, buckets, basins, jars, etc.
With the current hot and rainy weather conditions, mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever are likely to arise if environmental sanitation measures to kill larvae and spray chemicals to kill mosquitoes are not thoroughly implemented.
To strengthen dengue fever prevention, next week, Hanoi CDC will continue to monitor active dengue fever outbreak areas and high-risk areas such as Hong Duong commune (Thanh Oai), Tien Phuong (Chuong My), Duong Noi ward (Ha Dong), Tam Thuan (Phuc Tho district), Van Chuong (Dong Da), Dung Tien (Thuong Tin), Tran Hung Dao (Hoan Kiem), Lien Hong (Dan Phuong).
Medical centers of districts, towns and cities focus resources on thoroughly handling epidemic areas; organize spraying of chemicals to kill mosquitoes to ensure a high rate of thorough spraying; implement environmental sanitation and mosquito larvae eradication in high-risk areas with high insect index.
Closely monitor and promptly detect patients with infectious diseases in the community and decentralized medical examination and treatment facilities to grasp the epidemic situation, promptly investigate and handle cases and outbreaks.
Coordinate with the education and training sector to monitor and detect sick children, carry out epidemic treatment activities, clean the environment, and disinfect schools when there are patients or outbreaks.
Closely coordinate with the veterinary sector to closely monitor the rabies epidemic situation in animals, and implement inter-sectoral activities to prevent diseases transmitted from animals to humans.
Strengthen communication work, provide timely and complete information on disease situations, and measures to prevent some diseases such as hand, foot and mouth disease, whooping cough, measles, rubella, etc.
For vaccine-preventable diseases, people are advised to proactively get fully vaccinated on schedule according to the instructions of the health sector.
