Ha Anh Tuan plays big, goes to America to sing at the Oscar awards ceremony

Ha Anh Tuan brought his concert to the US, performing at the Hollywood art sanctuary to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Sketch a Rose project. The show was organized and produced by Viet Vision and Storii, with Cao Trung Hieu as the general director.

Concluding Sketch A Rose in Ho Chi Minh City in March, Ha Anh Tuan sent a promise to the audience: "Let's wear Vietnamese ao dai and meet at the art sanctuary this fall."

That meeting place is the Dolby Theatre, the "artistic heart" of Hollywood, Los Angeles, where the annual Oscar awards ceremony takes place, and is also the dream stage of many international artists.

Choosing Dolby Theatre as the next destination demonstrates Ha Anh Tuan's vision of pioneering culturally significant music nights. Sketch A Rose in Los Angeles will be produced by an entirely Vietnamese crew.

They are: general director Cao Trung Hieu, production director Vo Do Minh Hoang, music director Nguyen Huu Vuong, conductor Tran Nhat Minh, Crystal Band, Saigon Pops Orchestra and Cadillac backing group.

All members of the production crew, band, orchestra and backing group have completed the necessary procedures to come to the US.

The core inspiration for the Sketch a Rose project comes from the play Believe in Roses by the late author Luu Quang Vu, with the message that after the storm, roses will still bloom tomorrow, positive things will always exist and happen.

Ha Anh Tuan invites the audience to wear Ao Dai to watch

Sketch A Rose has been brought to Singapore, Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City by Ha Anh Tuan. In the near future, when he comes to the US, he will invite the audience to wear the traditional Ao Dai as an act of honoring Vietnamese cultural identity wherever they are in the world .

The concert will release 6 ticket categories with names inspired by famous Tarot cards, representing the human journey to find oneself.

They are: The Fool, The Hermit, The Lover, The Star, The World and The Rose.

Tickets will officially go on sale at 10am on August 1st Vietnam time (8pm on July 31st Los Angeles time) on the Ticketmaster website.

The Sketch A Rose concert series is not only a new milestone in Ha Anh Tuan's career as a live performer, but also demonstrates the aspiration of Vietnamese artists who want to bring their homeland's music closer to the world.

Through several times of organization, the music nights have been of meticulous quality, seriousness and high aesthetic value.
