According to Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education Le Manh Hung, the goal of building a learning society has been implemented specifically with many activities. Notably, through the implementation of the two programs "Promoting lifelong learning movements in families, clans, communities, and units" and "Building a model of Learning Citizens for the period 2021 - 2030" achieved practical results. In 2024, the Vietnam Fund for Promoting Education had a total revenue of nearly 4.55 billion while the fund spent nearly 5.3 billion VND, continuing to sponsor 20 students who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the local Association for Promotion of Education, only a few localities have established provincial-level education promotion funds with the total balance of the national education and talent promotion funds reaching over 4,000 billion VND. In addition to the Central Association for Promotion of Education Fund and local education promotion funds, many schools, families, clans, associations, residential groups, especially the education promotion funds of clans, have developed rapidly; many collectives and individuals have actively supported and assisted educational activities inside and outside of school, helping thousands of children in difficult circumstances to continue going to school.

As a member organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education has collected feedback and recommendations from the people, associations for promoting education, and members of associations for promoting education at all levels with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to send to the National Assembly. This year, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and associations for promoting education at all levels, and philanthropists have donated and supported 1,250 million VND for people affected by storms and floods in 10 northern provinces and Quang Binh province.

In addition to the achievements, the movement to encourage learning and talent has developed widely but the effectiveness of its activities is not uniform. Some Party committees, authorities, agencies and units have not paid due attention to the work of encouraging learning and the lifelong learning movement of adults. The work of building association organizations and developing members in administrative units, universities, enterprises and armed forces is still low.

In particular, up to now, the funding for the implementation of the 2 Programs under Decision 387 and 677 of the Prime Minister has been arranged by localities but is not uniform, some have it, some do not... In some localities, the funding has not been fully allocated to the 3 levels of associations.

Acknowledging the current study promotion activities in localities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Study Promotion Association pointed out that one of the outstanding difficulties is the lack of human resources, lack of funds, lack of means for regular activities of cadres and study promotion associations. Localities recommended that provincial and municipal authorities should prioritize funding for study promotion activities, promote the study movement among all classes of people by including study criteria in the criteria for new rural areas, model families, cultural families, etc.

At the working session with the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education on December 26, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized the need to do well and promote digital transformation in the work of promoting education in 2025. The Association needs to proactively propose specific solutions to create conditions for all people, of all ages and professions, to have the opportunity to study and develop their own capacity; continue to call for and mobilize the participation of businesses, organizations and individuals in contributing resources to the movement of promoting education and talents. The Deputy Prime Minister directed relevant ministries and branches to study and resolve the Association's recommendations in the spirit of creating all conditions for the Association to grow stronger and bring the work of promoting education to achieve more achievements.
