The exhibition "Heroic Army of a heroic nation" was directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, General Department of Politics, assigned to the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, Vietnam Military History Museum in coordination with relevant units to organize.

The exhibition displays over 300 images, documents, and artifacts, reflecting the military-civilian relationship in the cause of national liberation, defending the Fatherland, and achievements after 35 years of implementing the National Defense Day, building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modernized people's army. At the same time, it contributes to propagating and educating officers, soldiers of the armed forces, and people about the tradition of blood ties between the Army and the People.

The images, documents and artifacts are divided into specific contents. Among them, there are documents and images of President Ho Chi Minh, Party and State leaders visiting and working with military units, demonstrating the attention of Party and State leaders and President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnam People's Army.

The exhibition focuses on the content of "The Vietnam People's Army - born from the people, fighting for the people", with images, documents, and artifacts about the first armed organizations of the Party, the birth of the Army, the process of our people successfully carrying out the General Uprising to seize power in the August Revolution in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam... affirming that the Vietnam People's Army is born from the people, originating from the people with the determination to fight to protect the country, the army has overcome countless hardships and sacrifices, excellently completing the tasks assigned by the Party and the people.

Along with that are images showing the strength of our army through the periods: The Vietnam People's Army and the people in the resistance war against the French colonialists (1945-1954); The Vietnam People's Army and the people in the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954-1975); The Vietnam People's Army and the people in the years from 1975 to present with the cause of building and defending the Fatherland...

The exhibition also displays photos of “The beauty of today’s soldiers” with the activities of officers, soldiers, and veterans of the Vietnam People’s Army in performing training tasks, combat readiness, and cultural, sports, labor, and production activities, helping the people. In addition, there are propaganda paintings by authors participating in composing propaganda paintings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

The public also enjoyed the display and performance of light sculptures depicting President Ho Chi Minh searching for a way to save the country, reading the Declaration of Independence, on the observation tower of the opening battle of the army in Dong Khe during the Border Campaign; the image of comrade Vo Nguyen Giap declaring the establishment of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army...

The exhibition area with the theme "Cao Bang builds a strong national defense and preserves and promotes the historical and cultural values ​​of revolutionary relic sites" introduces images, documents and artifacts about the armed forces of Cao Bang province promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, building a strong national defense, and beautiful images of solidarity between the army and the people.

The exhibition also displays and introduces historical relics, cultural works, and scenic spots of Cao Bang province in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, educating patriotic traditions, creating unique destinations, and serving tourists. These are the Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Relic, Pac Bo Special National Historical Relic, President Ho Chi Minh Historical Relic in Cao Bang, the 1950 Border Victory Site Special National Relic, Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark...

During the exhibition, there are also many special exchange and art programs such as: "Song of the Soldier", "We are soldiers", student exchanges with the theme "Cao Bang Youth towards the founding day of the Vietnam People's Army", "The Fatherland calls our name", "My homeland Vietnam".../.
