Gasoline prices increased by nearly 1,000 VND per liter

Each liter of gasoline increased by 760-920 VND, oil products (except mazut) also increased by 10-180 VND depending on the type, from 3:00 p.m. today.

According to the joint management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance today, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (common type on the market) increased by 920 VND, to 23,400 VND per liter; E5 RON 92 increased by 760 VND, to 22,170 VND per liter.

Similarly, oil products also increased in price (except fuel oil) and have a new price of 20,540 - 20,370 VND per liter compared to 7 days ago.

This is the third time since the beginning of the year that domestic gasoline prices have increased. In today's management period, the joint ministries continued not to draw or spend from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

The operator said the world oil market has increased over the past 7 days due to the impact of escalating tensions in the Middle East, and tight oil supplies in the US amid cold weather causing production disruptions, pushing up buying power in the market, increasing by 4.5-5%.

For example, the average price of finished petroleum products for 7 days with RON 95 is 98.45 USD per barrel, up nearly 5%. Diesel is also more expensive by nearly 1%, up to 101.65 USD per barrel. Fuel oil alone decreased to 432.02 USD per ton.
