Average trading value in March on HoSE increased nearly 32% compared to the previous month

In March 2025, the HoSE witnessed mixed movements of the indices. While VNIndex and VN30 increased slightly, VNAllshare decreased.

At the end of the last trading session of March 2025, the VNIndex reached 1,306.86 points, VNAllshare reached 1,350.36 points and VN30 reached 1,363.88 points. Compared to the end of February 2025, the VNIndex and VN30 increased by 0.11% and 0.55% respectively, while the VNAllshare index decreased by 1.05%.

Most industry indexes recorded decreases, specifically the information technology industry index (VNIT), energy industry index (VNENE), and raw materials industry index (VNMAT) decreased by 13.48%, 8.73%, and 5.60%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the real estate industry index (VNREAL) recorded a strong increase of 12.88% in March 2025.

In terms of liquidity, the average trading volume reached more than 878 million shares/day with an average trading value of more than VND 20,806 billion/day; correspondingly increasing by 33.2% in volume and 31.83% in value compared to February 2025.

The average trading volume of covered warrants (CW) reached more than 54.61 million CW/day with an average trading value of VND49.76 billion/day; correspondingly increasing by 12.56% in volume and 31.1% in value compared to the previous month.

The average trading volume of ETF certificates reached more than 2.58 million ETFs/day with an average trading value of more than VND 65.64 billion/day, a decrease of 5.81% in volume and 8.78% in trading value compared to February 2025.

The total transaction value of foreign investors in March 2025 reached over VND97,149 billion, accounting for over 12.78% of the total transaction value of the entire market. Foreign investors made net sales during the month with a value of over VND9,560 billion.

As of March 31, 2025, HOSE has 568 listed and traded securities, with a total listed securities volume of more than 175.12 billion securities.

In terms of market size, as of March 31, 2025, HOSE has 568 listed and traded securities, including 392 stock codes, 04 closed-end fund certificates, 17 ETF fund certificates and 155 covered warrants with a total listed securities volume of more than 175.12 billion securities.

As of March 31, 2025, the stock capitalization value on HOSE reached more than VND 5.45 million billion, up 0.29% compared to the previous month and equivalent to 47.4% of GDP in 2024, accounting for more than 93.55% of the total capitalization value of listed stocks in the whole market.
