On September 3, information from the Gia Lai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said that the unit is urgently completing the infrastructure project and planning project of the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone.

Accordingly, Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone in Duc Co district, bordering Cambodia, is a gateway for trade and a driving force for economic development.

Every year, thousands of tons of goods and agricultural products such as bananas, cassava chips, durian, cashew nuts, etc. are transported through the border gate to deep into Vietnam or to Quy Nhon port, Binh Dinh province for export to other countries around the world.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, the infrastructure project of Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone for the period 2022 - 2025 has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee and assigned a capital plan for 2024 with 20 billion VND.

With the planning completed and the construction infrastructure completed, Gia Lai province will attract investors to operate in the economic zone.

In particular, the Master Plan for the construction of Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone until 2045 has been completed by the investor according to the requirements of the Ministry of Construction and submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval.

The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board strives to disburse the minimum capital plan to reach 95% of the assigned plan by the end of 2024.

According to statistics, Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone currently has 40 investment projects with a total registered investment capital of VND643.87 billion. Of which, the estimated realized investment capital is VND266.55 billion, reaching 41.4% of the total registered investment capital.

Currently, the Gia Lai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is coordinating with the Duc Co District People's Committee to implement site clearance compensation and organize auctions of land use rights for residential land and commercial service land in the central area of ​​the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone.
