Ninh Binh province has just held a ceremony to honor 65 typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2014-2024. Mr. Do Xuan Nhan was honored to be one of the 65 typical examples; and one of the two Party cell secretaries and heads of the Provincial Front Work Committee honored at this event.

Mr. Nhan has held the position of Party cell secretary and head of the Front Work Committee since 2001, and has been doing so for nearly 23 years. “In the past, the streets here were dirt roads, the population was small, and people’s lives were still poor. After nearly 20 years of renovation and development, the neighborhood is now much more spacious and airy, and the number of people living here is increasing day by day,” Mr. Nhan recalls.

To have Phuc Trung village meet the model new rural standards (NTM) as today, Mr. Nhan believes that the consensus of the people is the most important factor. “As a grassroots cadre, the most important thing is to be trusted and respected by the people. When the neighborhood built NTM in 2019, the most difficult thing was to convince people to donate land to open roads. Encouraged by my wife, I took the lead in donating 120m2 of land and 40m2 of my family's wall, from there, everyone looked at it and then listened" - Mr. Nhan confided.

In a short time, 136/136 households living along Ninh Ton road agreed, each household donated a little, totaling 5,440m2 of land to widen the road from 5m to 9m. On the day the road was concreted, everyone was happy, because the 1.5km long road led to each house, making travel much more convenient than before.

According to Mr. Dien Van Duc (residing in Phuc Trung village), Mr. Nhan is a person who always sets an example, is a pioneer in doing difficult things, is loved by the villagers, and is wholeheartedly supported. In the village, Mr. Nhan is always present at every death anniversary or happy occasion. In every family that has a funeral, he asks Mr. Nhan to compose and read the eulogy. The Party cell secretary and head of the CTMT Committee is very close to the people, close to the people, and does everything the people need.

According to Mr. Vu Van Vuong - Chairman of the Ninh Phuc Commune Fatherland Front Committee, the Party Cell of Phuc Trung village is always assessed to have excellently completed its tasks every year. "In the period of 2015 - 2024, Mr. Do Xuan Nhan was honored to receive many certificates of merit from the grassroots to the central level, including a Certificate of Merit from the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2022 for his outstanding achievements in the movement to build new rural areas, in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh" - Mr. Vuong said.
