On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2024), on December 11, Quang Ninh province held a meeting to express gratitude to generals of the People's Army, the People's Public Security, and heads of the Provincial Military Command of different periods. Attending the meeting, on the side of Military Region 3 was Major General Le Van Long, Deputy Commander of the Military Region. On the side of Quang Ninh province, there were comrades: Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his joy and excitement when meeting with comrades of military and police generals, leaders of the Provincial Military Command through the periods to review the glorious and heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.

Regarding the socio-economic development situation of Quang Ninh achieved in 2024, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: Achieving these important results is thanks to the attention, leadership and direction of the Central Government, the support of ministries, departments and branches; including the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee of the Military Region 3 Command, the active contributions of comrades in the army and police of Quang Ninh who have worked, are working and retired in the province, officers and soldiers of the Quang Ninh armed forces through the periods.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary thanked the attention, leadership and direction of the central ministries, departments and branches, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee of the Military Region 3 Command; respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the extremely valuable contributions of the comrades of the army and police generals from Quang Ninh who have worked, are working and retired in the province; and the great contributions of the officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces in the past time.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In 2024, the entire Party, people and army will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, which is an opportunity for us to review the heroic and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army through 80 years of construction, fighting, growing and winning. Thereby, arousing national honor and pride; building trust in the Party's leadership, the cause of national renewal, motivating the entire Party, people and army to continue to promote the glorious tradition, focusing on building an increasingly solid national defense associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment to build our country more and more prosperous and happy.

To carry out and successfully complete those tasks and goals, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes to continue to receive the attention and assistance of the Central ministries, departments, branches, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee of the Military Region 3 Command and the comrades of the army and police generals from Quang Ninh who have worked, are working and retired in the province, the comrades who were former leaders of the Provincial Military Command through the periods; with their intelligence and prestige, the comrades will continue to pay attention to contributing ideas to help the Party committees, authorities at all levels and the provincial armed forces in leading, directing, implementing political tasks, building a strong and comprehensive provincial armed forces. At the same time, mobilize the masses to successfully implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, participate in building great solidarity in the locality, contributing to building Quang Ninh province to be politically strong, economically rich, strong in national defense and security, with a developed cultural and social life; build a clean and strong Party organization and political system in all aspects; complete the set targets and tasks for the 2020-2025 term, creating a solid premise for Quang Ninh to firmly enter the new era with the whole country - the era of national development.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army and the tradition of the armed forces of Quang Ninh province.
