On the afternoon of April 22, the Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with former members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee through the periods to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the conference, delegates heard comrade Nguyen Thuong Hai - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board inform about the results of continuing to implement Resolution No. 18/NQ-TW, dated October 25, 2027 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate, reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently, and reorganize administrative units at the commune and provincial levels.

Comrade Nguyen Tuan Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Committee also informed about the socio-economic development situation, ensuring national defense and security in the province in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2025 alone, the province's socio-economic situation continues to develop; the economic growth rate in the quarter reached 6.5%, higher than the growth scenario set by the province; the scale of the economy continues to maintain good growth momentum.

Compared to the same period, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached VND 29,174.8 billion, up 9.93%; the state budget revenue in the province is estimated at VND 3,180 billion, up 47%, equal to 40.47% of the central budget estimate and 33.3% of the provincial People's Council's budget estimate. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production continued to develop steadily. In particular, in March 2025, activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 took place, attracting a large number of tourists to the province and promoting the development of service industries.

Social security, care for the meritorious, poverty reduction, and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses continued to receive attention and were promptly implemented. Land, resource, and environmental management and administrative reform were actively implemented. National defense was strengthened, and sovereignty, territory, and border security were maintained.

At the conference, delegates expressed their excitement about the province's outstanding achievements in recent times; agreed with the policy of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units and building a two-level local government, and affirmed that this is a correct policy, originating from a strategic vision to expand development space, create comparative advantages and development space for new administrative units with the goal of bringing a truly prosperous and happy life to the people, and making the country increasingly powerful.
