The Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution is an organization of neighborhood committees across Cuba, established by leader Fidel Castro on September 28, 1960, to detect and crush all anti-revolutionary plots of hostile forces at home and abroad, and to protect Cuba's young revolutionary government after the 1959 revolution.

The delegation from Vietnam, from the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, was warmly welcomed by the entire Congress. At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation opportunities to promote potential and open up activities in the fields of agriculture, trade, education, health care, etc. between the two provinces.
