Overseas Vietnamese delegation offers incense to commemorate Hung Kings

On April 20, a delegation of overseas Vietnamese led by Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, visited and offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings at the Hung Temple historical relic site. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At Kinh Thien Palace on Nghia Linh Mountain, before the spirits of the Hung Kings, more than 60 overseas Vietnamese representing the Vietnamese community from 21 countries and territories around the world offered incense, flowers, and offerings to express their respect and gratitude to their ancestors, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". Before the spirits of the Hung Kings and the ancestors who built the country, the overseas Vietnamese community vowed to unite as one, build and protect the Fatherland, contributing to the growth of the Vietnamese community and the nation.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai sent his best wishes for health, happiness and prosperity to the members of the delegation. He emphasized that after being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Hung Kings Worship Religion has increasingly affirmed the strong vitality of the philosophy of returning to the origin, becoming a symbol of national solidarity and a spiritual convergence point of the Vietnamese people. Promoting the tradition of great national solidarity, Phu Tho province always considers the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community; one of the important resources contributing to promoting the country's innovation. At the same time, he hopes that overseas Vietnamese will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, pay more attention to join hands to build the homeland to develop more and more.

On behalf of the overseas Vietnamese delegation, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her sincere thanks to the leaders of Phu Tho province for this warm welcome; at the same time, she hoped that Phu Tho province would continue to coordinate with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in organizing for overseas Vietnamese to attend the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival in the coming years, meeting the religious needs in the cultural and spiritual life of overseas Vietnamese.
