The Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan has more than 85,000 people, mainly following the religions: Brahmanism, Islam (Bani and Islam), living mainly in the plains, interspersed with other ethnic groups in the province. In recent years, with the attention of the Party and the State, and the solidarity and efforts of the people, the lives of the Cham people have been increasingly improved. In areas where the Cham people live, 100% of communes have car roads to the commune center, 100% of Cham areas have electricity, have medical stations, communal cultural houses, and schools; most of the communes where the Cham people live meet new rural standards. The average income of the Cham people is estimated at about 64 million VND, higher than the average of the whole province. The poverty rate accounts for 2.29% of the total number of Cham households, lower than the poverty rate of the whole province at 4.21%. The local Cham people are united, always believe in the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; live a "good life, good religion", preserve and promote rich and diverse cultural traditions, contributing to enriching the cultural treasure with strong Vietnamese national identity. The cultural values and festivals of the Cham people are researched, collected, preserved and promoted, meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of the Cham people and enriching the Vietnamese cultural treasure such as Cham folk songs, traditional musical instruments, Kate festivals, Ramuwan Tet, etc.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Q took a souvenir photo with the delegation of dignitaries, officials, and key officials in the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province.
The three religious organizations in the Cham ethnic minority area well manage the organization and religious activities according to the Charter and the provisions of the law; act as a bridge between religious dignitaries, officials, and followers in the Cham ethnic minority area with the Party committees, authorities, and the Provincial Fatherland Front. Religious dignitaries and officials are people of prestige and virtue in the community, playing the core role in mobilizing dignitaries, officials, and followers to implement the Party's policies, the State's policies, and laws, as well as respond to and participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality.
At the meeting, representatives of dignitaries and officials of the province's Brahman and Muslim religious organizations expressed their honor to visit the capital and were warmly welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, considering this a great source of encouragement for religious organizations in the Cham ethnic group region.
