Vietnam sends 8 more officers to join peacekeeping
On January 2, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong presented the Decision to confer the title of Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on 5 officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These people will be conferred the title of Ambassador in 2024.

The President presented the decisions to confer the title of Ambassador to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Pham Thanh Binh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Ambassador to India; Mr. Ngo Toan Thang, Deputy Director, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Nguyen Vu Tung, senior lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy.
The President congratulated the officials who had just received the decision to confer the title of Ambassador; at the same time, he advised the Ambassadors to continue to promote their roles and actively contribute to the common tasks of foreign affairs in 2025 as well as in the coming time, continuing to contribute to consolidating the favorable foreign affairs situation, positioning Vietnam in the flow of the times.
On the same day, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to hand over the President's Decision and the Minister of National Defense's Decision to 8 officers who will be deployed to carry out United Nations peacekeeping missions at the MINUSCA mission (Central African Republic) and the UNMISS mission (Republic of South Sudan).
