Investigation into suspected case of throwing mines at debt collectors

On June 24, information from the People's Committee of Ha Lam Ward (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) said that authorities are investigating an explosion suspected to have been caused by a mine that occurred in the locality.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, at Zone 3, Cao Van Hoa Hill (Ha Lam Ward), two men (identities unknown) rode a motorbike to Mr. L's house with the intention of demanding debt and then a conflict broke out.

The two men's motorbike was damaged after the explosion.

A moment later, two debt collectors suddenly discovered an object thrown from the second floor of Mr. L’s house to the spot where their motorbike was parked. Seeing this, the two men shouted at each other and ran away. Just a few seconds later, there was a loud explosion and their motorbike was damaged.

Thanh Nien 's source said that Mr. L. owed these people about 200 million VND. When they came to collect the debt, an explosion occurred, suspected to be caused by a mine.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Ha Long City Police and related units arrived at the scene to block off and investigate.

The incident did not cause any casualties, and those involved have been summoned for questioning.
