The project to repair and maintain the sand-blocking dyke system on Cua Viet channel and the project to repair and maintain the mooring buoy system on Dinh An - Song Hau channel will be completed in 2025.
The Vietnam Maritime Administration has just approved the adjustment of the project schedule for repairing and maintaining the sand-blocking dyke system on the Cua Viet navigation channel (South dyke). Accordingly, the project will be implemented in 3 years from 2023-2025.
The project to repair and maintain the sand-blocking dyke system on Cua Viet navigation channel (South dyke) was carried out in Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province (Illustration photo).
The adjustment of progress is according to the decision approving the 2025 maritime works maintenance plan approved by the Ministry of Transport.
The project to repair and maintain the sand-blocking dyke system on Cua Viet waterway (South dyke) with a total estimated investment of 35 billion VND, is being implemented in Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province.
Accordingly, the dike line south of Cua Viet embankment with a length of about 580 m will be repaired and maintained (repairing and overcoming the erosion of the dike toe, the sunken dike positions, the haro concrete blocks that have slipped out of position, the tetrapod blocks at the dike head that have been washed away by waves).
Along with adjusting the progress of the project to repair and maintain the sand-blocking dyke system on the Cua Viet waterway, the Maritime Administration also adjusted the progress of the project to repair and maintain the mooring buoy system on the Dinh An - Song Hau waterway, to be completed in 2025.
The project has a total investment of more than 19 billion VND, and will repair a buoy system including 15 anchors located on the Dinh An - Hau River shipping route that was damaged after being put into use.
