On the morning of May 14, in Trieu Son town (Trieu Son), Thanh Hoa Association of Plant Varieties and Agricultural Materials in collaboration with Eco Nutrients Central Joint Stock Company - Thanh Hoa Branch organized a field workshop to evaluate the effectiveness of the model of using Eco Nitrients biological organic fertilizer on rice in the spring crop of 2024.

Delegates evaluated the productivity and quality of the model of using Eco Nutrients biological organic fertilizer on rice plants in Trieu Son town.

The model of using ECO Nitrients biological organic fertilizer on spring rice crop 2024 in Trieu Son town was deployed from January 2024 on Lam Son 9 rice variety, with an area of ​​about 20 hectares.

Eco Nutrients is an organic fertilizer imported from the United States, used for foliar spraying, providing adequate nutrition in 4 forms: macro, medium, micronutrients and essential elements for rice plants to grow and develop.

When participating in the model, local people are supported with funds to buy rice seeds, Eco Nutrients organic fertilizer and are trained in farming techniques.

After 4 months of testing, the rice plants yielded higher yields and quality than similar varieties.

After 4 months of implementing the model, farmers have basically applied modern rice cultivation processes and care regimes suitable for local climate conditions. The test results show that when using Eco Nutrients biological organic fertilizer, Lam Son 9 rice variety has the ability to produce strong and numerous tillers, the rice flowers quickly, the flowering time is 9 days, the grains are long and slender, the plants have the ability to grow and develop well.

In particular, the entire production area is not infected with pests, only slightly infected with some diseases such as brown spot and rice blast, but not at the level of damage that needs to be prevented, the estimated yield is over 7.58 tons/ha. The estimated economic efficiency is higher than other local rice varieties.

The pilot use of Eco Nutrients bio-organic fertilizer on Lam Son 9 rice variety in Trieu Son town aims to replace ineffective production materials and old degraded rice varieties, supplementing the local variety structure in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general. Thereby, contributing to improving the productivity and quality of rice and some other crops, gradually moving towards safe organic agriculture with high economic efficiency.
