Dak Lak needs more than 807 hectares of land to serve the North-South high-speed railway project.

The high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Dak Lak is 96 km long, the project's land demand is about 807 hectares and the resettlement area demand for site clearance is about 86 hectares.

Dak Lak province has just broken ground on the resettlement area project serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Dak Lak province.

The resettlement area project serving the high-speed railway project through Binh Kien ward (Dak Lak) is invested by the Tuy Hoa Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board.

The project has a total investment of more than 52 billion VND, built to resettle about 50 households affected by the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis and about 70 households affected by the environment of the landfill and Tho Vuc cemetery.

The North-South high-speed railway project, section passing through Binh Kien ward, is about 8.1 km long, with 55 plots of land affected with an area of 4.2 hectares.

Dak Lak province broke ground on the first resettlement area serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis.

Binh Kien Ward has approved the compensation plan for 35/55 plots (3 hectares), the remaining area is expected to complete the compensation plan in August 2025.

The high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Dak Lak province, passing through 12 communes and wards with the starting point in Xuan Loc commune and the ending point in Hoa Xuan commune, has a length of about 96 km.

On this route, there will be 1 station in Phu Yen ward, 1 maintenance station in Xuan Tho commune and 1 maintenance station combined with the station in Phu Yen ward.

According to the survey, the total land demand for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Dak Lak province is about 807.5 hectares; the number of households affected by site clearance is about 4,143 households.

In addition, the need for resettlement areas to serve site clearance is about 86 hectares and 3 reburial areas is about 4.2 hectares.
