The People's Committee of Mo Duc district has forcibly reclaimed more than 2,000 square meters of shrimp farming project land whose lease has expired to hand over to the investor for the construction of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road project.
On November 21, Chairman of Mo Duc District People's Committee Pham Ngoc Lan said that through the enforcement organization, the district has announced, publicly posted the enforcement decision and proceeded to recover an area of more than 2,000 square meters of land within the corridor of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road.
Mo Duc district has completed the enforcement work, reclaiming more than 2,000 square meters of land to serve the construction of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road project.
"The entire cleared land of the project has been handed over. The current status of assets on the land of the shrimp farming project has been cleared. All current status of land problems on the route section through Km 74+334 - Km 74+848 has been resolved, opening the route. The immediate task of this enforcement is to reclaim land to serve the construction of the coastal road project," said Mr. Lan.
Regarding the remaining area of about 30 hectares leased by Quang Ngai province to Binh An Energy Investment Joint Stock Company, but the lease expired and the province decided to reclaim the land, the district will continue to work with the investor and organize compulsory repossession in the coming time.
"The district will resolutely reclaim the land according to the province's policy to implement new projects," said Mr. Lan.
Previously, Giao thong Newspaper published an article "Coastal road project delayed due to shrimp farming project" reflecting the current situation of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road project being unable to open due to problems with the shrimp farming project site on an area of over 2,000 square meters.
At the same time, Binh An Energy Investment Joint Stock Company also expired its land lease on an area of nearly 31 hectares from May 13, 2024, but this enterprise did not return the land to Quang Ngai province as stated in the land lease policy. On the contrary, it has been slow to occupy the land even though the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to reclaim it and does not agree to let this enterprise continue to lease it.
