With the determination of "Only working, not backtracking", teachers participate in training courses to improve their skills in applying information technology to transform digital education , bringing a new breath to education in difficult areas.
Digital transformation improves the quality of teaching and learning
Although not as good as schools in favorable areas, most schools in difficult areas still have access to and exploit the benefits of information technology to improve the quality of education. Classrooms are fully equipped with teaching aids, helping students to be confident and enthusiastic in their activities.
Ms. Bui Thi Tu Phuong - Vice Principal of Phong Hai Primary Boarding School No. 1 said: In recent years, the school has increased its investment resources in infrastructure so that all 4 schools have Internet connection. At the same time, the school has invested in equipment so that each class has a projector and smart TV; and directed teachers to apply information technology in teaching.
Directly teaching and seeing the positive effects of digital transformation, Ms. San Thi Dung - teacher of Phong Hai Primary Boarding School No. 1 (Phong Hai, Lao Cai ) affirmed: By participating in physical games with teachers and friends on television, students become more confident and bold. In particular, through illustrations, they improve their Vietnamese vocabulary a lot.
Pham Phuong Oanh - a student at Phong Hai Primary School No. 1 for Ethnic Minorities shared: I like the lessons that apply information technology because the images and documents presented by teachers are attractive, creating excitement for learning. Especially with the development of artificial intelligence, teachers also "catch the trend" quickly to create attractive videos .
Along with efforts to solve infrastructure-related issues, meet the requirements of digital transformation and apply information technology, staff and teachers in highland schools are also proactive in learning and being creative in designing electronic lectures, increasing the interactivity and attractiveness of each lesson. The application of information technology utilities is focused on by the local education sector to innovate and improve the quality of education.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet - teacher at Trung Thinh Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Trung Thinh, Tuyen Quang) said that in the highlands, most students do not have phones or computers, so their access to technology is limited.
With the determination of “Only work, no back talk”, teachers in the school have joined training courses to improve their skills in applying information technology to bring interesting lessons, bringing a new breeze to education in the highlands. With the initiative “Application of AI technology in teaching and learning English”, Ms. Nguyet has used technology in her lectures, helping to save energy while still achieving efficiency.

Summer training efforts
In 2025, the implementation of two-tier local government affected teachers’ summer training. However, many teachers have proactively participated in online courses and self-study to be ready to access modern technology in the coming school year.
According to Mr. Bui Minh Duc - a teacher at Thanh Ha Secondary School (An Nghia, Phu Tho), artificial intelligence currently plays an important role in improving the quality of teaching and learning. In order to improve his skills and IT level to access applications and software for teaching and learning activities before entering the new school year, he participated in an IT application training course organized by the school.
The training course provides teachers with the opportunity to learn, acquire new knowledge, and exchange with colleagues. The training course not only encourages the spirit of lifelong learning of each teacher, but also helps them improve their professional expertise.
After returning from class, Mr. Duc and his colleagues quickly adapted to using technology in teaching activities. To create diverse lectures, he often retrieves documents from the Internet and uses online learning applications. This not only helps students understand the lesson but also stimulates their creativity and exploration.

In addition to using visual teaching aids, the teacher guides students to learn about the benefits of information technology, how to use the Internet safely and effectively, avoid abusing social networks and getting caught up in preventing harmful websites. In addition, the teacher encourages students to participate in online competitions, thereby motivating them to strive to study better.
Participating in an online course on artificial intelligence applications in education organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with RMIT University, Ms. Vu Thi Hue - teacher at Sin Suoi Ho Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Sin Suoi Ho commune, Lai Chau) shared that this is a practical, inspiring and valuable learning journey for teachers.
Through the program, she has a better understanding of the great potential of AI in supporting teaching, personalizing learning for students, saving time and improving educational efficiency. The knowledge, skills and AI tools she learned in the training have opened up a new, more proactive and creative direction for her career.
“From that valuable experience, I have proactively applied AI to teaching practice, designed digital lectures, created interactive learning materials, built learning situations linked to practice, and supported the assessment of students' abilities. At the same time, I actively shared knowledge and provided instructions on how to use AI with colleagues in the school and through online educational forums,” Ms. Hue shared.
According to Mr. To Hong Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Information (Ministry of Education and Training), in recent times, the education and training sector has drastically and synchronously implemented the application of information technology and digital transformation in education.
Up to now, the whole industry has had positive changes, forming a tight digital system in educational institutions from teaching, learning to management. These results have contributed to innovation, improving the quality of education, actively contributing to the implementation of the Digital Transformation Project and the Digital Education Movement.
