Police summon woman who spread false news about province merger

(Dan Tri) - Using her personal social media account, Ms. BTH in Hoa Binh posted false information about the merger of provinces and cities across the country. The woman was summoned by the police.

On March 1, Hoa Binh Provincial Police said that the Internal Political Security Department worked with Ms. BTH (residing in Lac Thuy district) to clarify her behavior of using her personal social media account to post false information about the merger of provinces and cities across the country.

The Internal Political Security Department of Hoa Binh Provincial Police is consolidating the case file to strictly handle the case.

Working with the police, Ms. H. admitted to her violation of posting false information on social media and pledged not to repeat the offense. The woman asked to comply with any decision of the competent authority.

The police have informed Ms. H. about the regulations and responsibilities of social network users, and advised people not to post, share, or disseminate fake news or untrue information. All violations will be strictly handled according to the law.
