Faced with the above situation, to ensure the safety of people, vehicles and property of the people, Sam Son Ward Police quickly arrived at the flooded areas, coordinated with local forces to both direct traffic and guide traffic participants, and advised and organized the installation of warning signs for people not to enter deep and dangerous flooded areas. Local authorities evacuated people from dangerous areas and informed people not to leave their homes to ensure safety.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of Sam Son Ward Police, there are currently two areas in the ward that are flooded over 1 meter deep: Ho Xuan Huong Street connecting to FLC area and Cot Do market area. In these areas, the ward police have set up guard posts to warn.
Along with that, the Ward Police have requested owners of restaurants, hotels, agencies, and units to set up remote warning systems, fully arrange signs, barriers, and night signal lights in areas that are deeply flooded or have a high risk of accidents.
Regularly update weather developments, flood forecasts and high tide warnings to adjust traffic organization and traffic flow plans accordingly. Proactively set up detours, temporary routes and U-turn points when necessary.
Currently, the storm situation in the province is still complicated. Along with mobilizing more than 5 thousand police officers and soldiers from wards and communes to directly go to the area to participate in ensuring security and order, coordinating with local Party committees, authorities and functional forces to participate in storm prevention and control, the Provincial Police has mobilized 100% of the staff of the Provincial Police Departments to be ready to participate in resolving and handling complicated situations caused by storms.
