Faced with the complicated developments of super typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), people in Nghe An province have proactively harvested summer-autumn rice to avoid damage. With the motto "green at home is better than old in the field", many localities in Nghe An have basically finished harvesting summer-autumn rice.
Police, police officers, and young people went to the fields to help people in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An harvest summer-autumn rice to "escape" super typhoon No. 3.
In key areas with large summer-autumn rice areas such as Yen Thanh district, where there are 11,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice, people have harvested 10,800 hectares. On September 6, about 200 hectares of the remaining summer-autumn rice will be harvested.
According to Dan Viet reporters, in the fields of Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Do Luong, Hung Nguyen districts... people have basically finished harvesting the summer-autumn rice area to ensure safety before super typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) makes landfall.

The heavy bundles of rice in the fields of Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province are harvested and transported home to help people.
Dozens of officers and soldiers of Con Cuong district police, along with CC&CNCH Team No. 6, PC07 Department, along with youth and union members of Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An went to the fields early in the morning to help people, especially policy families, harvest summer-autumn rice. The atmosphere in Chi Khe commune's fields was bustling, the bundles of summer-autumn rice full of grain were brought home to limit damage from storms and floods.
This year, the summer-autumn rice yield in Con Cuong district, Nghe An province reached 6.3 tons/ha.
Mr. Lo Van Ly - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Con Cuong district, Nghe An province said that due to the complicated developments of storms and rains, the locality has focused on directing communes and towns to harvest summer-autumn rice early to avoid damage. This year, the whole district has about 500 hectares of summer-autumn rice. By the end of August 6, people had harvested 400 hectares, the remaining area will be harvested before super typhoon No. 3 makes landfall.
