Multiple connection activities
This year's exhibition in Osaka, Japan is attended by many manufacturers from world industrial powers such as Japan, UK, Germany, USA, and China.

This year, the Vietnamese business delegation with the participation of the Center for Industrial Development Support, Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade); Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center; Vietnam Trade Office in Japan along with 12 supporting industry enterprises and dozens of leading enterprises operating in the mechanical manufacturing and processing industry of Vietnam.
The program is chaired by the Center for Industrial Development Support, Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in coordination with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized in early October 2024.
Japan is currently one of Vietnam's leading economic partners and the first G7 member country to recognize Vietnam's market economy status. Bilateral trade turnover between the two countries has increased steadily over the years. In particular, Japan has many strengths that can help Vietnam in the coming time, creating conditions for Vietnam to develop science and technology, education and training, energy, mechanical engineering and supporting industries.
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, in August 2024, Vietnam's export turnover to the Japanese market reached more than 2.27 billion USD; although it decreased by 1.6% compared to the previous month, the total in the first 8 months of 2024 reached 16.01 billion USD, an increase of 4.8% over the same period last year. Through activities to enhance bilateral investment cooperation, the two-way trade turnover in 2024 is expected to exceed 30 billion USD.
Many activities connecting Vietnamese suppliers with Japanese companies have just taken place at M-Tech Osaka 2024 and the "Vietnam - Japan Mechanical Manufacturing Enterprise Connection Conference".
Mr. Chu Viet Cuong, Director of the Center for Industrial Development Support, Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said: "This is a good opportunity for businesses to access advanced and modern production techniques and technologies of Vietnam, not only that, it also creates opportunities for companies to introduce products, seek cooperation partners and participate in the global value chain ".
According to Mr. Cuong, in order to contribute to the overall development of Vietnam's supporting industry, as well as promote trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in conjunction with the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan has actively sought and organized many business connection activities through conferences and professional exhibitions in the field of supporting industry in Japan in recent years.

Along with that, the Vietnamese business delegation also visited and worked at factories in Japan, helping businesses, suppliers and industry experts access new trends, advanced technology, promote investment cooperation, joint ventures and associations towards the sustainable development of Vietnam's mechanical industry.
Mr. Ta Duc Minh, Vietnam's Trade Counselor in Japan, said that Vietnam's booths have attracted the attention of foreign partners, because Vietnam is a country focusing on investing in developing supporting industries and applying digital technology in production.
Within the framework of the program, the Center for Industrial Development Support presided over and coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to organize the "Vietnam - Japan Mechanical Manufacturing Enterprise Connection Conference" and many activities to connect Vietnamese suppliers with Japanese companies with offices in Osaka, Japan, which are interested in cooperating in importing Vietnamese industrial mechanical products; aiming to develop contract manufacturing (OEM/ODM).
Expanding the market for precision mechanical manufacturing and processing
According to the Department of Industry, Vietnam is implementing the Industrial Development Strategy, Vietnam's mechanical industry to 2025, with a vision to 2035. Accordingly, trade activities, production and business research within the framework of M-Tech Osaka are expected to further develop Vietnam - Japan mechanical engineering cooperation in the coming time. In particular, it will help Vietnam's mechanical engineering industry to go deeper into the global supply chain.
Mr. Chu Viet Cuong, Director of the Center for Industrial Development Support, Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade) acknowledged that Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises are actively taking the initiative to seize new investment and business cooperation opportunities through this activity. Accordingly, many partners from companies from many regions around the world have visited the Vietnamese pavilion to learn about production capacity, expressed interest in products and cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese enterprises.
As one of the leading enterprises in the field of precision mechanical processing on CNC machines participating in this Exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of Binh Minh Construction, Mechanical and Trading Company Limited said: The booth with the colors of Vietnam attracts a lot of attention from foreign partners, so the enterprises participating in the joint booth have more voices, participating in this Exhibition is also an opportunity to expand the scale of production, bringing Binh Minh TMC's products to potential customers in Japan.

According to the representative of Viet Nhat Tan Precision Mechanical Co., Ltd. - a unit specializing in manufacturing products for the industrial machinery manufacturing industry, auxiliary products in the high-tech industry, semiconductors, fixtures, and medical equipment, Viet Nhat Tan Company has received much attention from Japanese partners. After this exhibition, Viet Nhat Tan hopes to have many opportunities to cooperate and expand the production market, precision mechanical processing for many domestic and foreign enterprises, aiming to become a leading company in mechanical processing.
Within the framework of the program, the Vietnamese business delegation also visited and worked at the factory of Koyo Company, Japan. This is also an opportunity for businesses, suppliers and experts in the industry to access new trends, advanced technology, promote investment cooperation, joint ventures towards the sustainable development of the Vietnamese mechanical industry, helping the industry to go deeper into the global supply chain, while contributing to the implementation of the strategic goal of industrial development, the Vietnamese mechanical industry to 2025, with a vision to 2035.
