The final match of the tournament was a match between Navy Phu Nhuan and Hung Yen Club. Navy Phu Nhuan's coaching staff studied the Northern representative's playing style. Coach Vu Dinh Chinh directed his players to attack aggressively, with the aim of overwhelming the opponent. However, they conceded a goal quite early in the 3rd minute after Quoc Viet's shot.
