According to Vice President, General Secretary, and Executive Director of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Nguyen Hai Anh, this is a vivid demonstration of the special, loyal, and steadfast solidarity and friendship of the Vietnamese people towards the Cuban people; at the same time, it is a valuable resource that helps our friends overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and continue to develop. These noble gestures not only bring material value but also shine with spiritual value, contributing to preserving and fostering the immortal symbol of Vietnam-Cuba solidarity in all circumstances.

The campaign is chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, in coordination with central departments, ministries, branches and organizations on the occasion of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025); taking place for 65 days, starting from August 13 (the 99th anniversary of the birth of leader Fidel Castro) to October 16, 2025, to support the Cuban people with food, necessities and sustainable humanitarian activities.
