The project to build Tan Nam International Border Gate (located in Tan Bien commune, Tay Ninh province), opposite Meun Chay Border Gate, Prey Veng province, Kingdom of Cambodia, has a total investment of 274 billion VND (of which, 130 billion VND is from the central budget, the rest is from the provincial budget), invested by the Tay Ninh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board (Provincial Project Management Board).
The project includes 5 main items: National Gate; Joint control station, square, ceremonial yard; Border control station; Main road of the border gate and Technical infrastructure system (electricity, water, fire prevention and fighting).
All items are oriented to select design solutions, architectural forms, colors, and main materials for construction works at Tan Nam international border gate to ensure solemnity, symbolism, national and ethnic identity, and harmony with the landscape and scale of construction investment.
The joint control station combines a square and a ceremonial yard on the main road of the border gate, with a scale of 2 floors and a height of 14.25m, designed to ensure the working needs of inter-sectoral agencies in the border gate area.
To meet the completion deadline by the end of August 2025, the investor has focused resources, increased the number of construction workers, organized more teams, and accelerated construction in 2 shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. the next morning.
Up to now, the items have reached more than 95% of the volume, exceeding the planned progress.
In 2019, the Prime Minister issued Resolution No. 111/NQ-CP approving the upgrading of Tan Nam Sub-Border Gate, Tay Ninh province to an international border gate.
The Tan Nam - Meun Chey International Border Gate pair officially opened on May 31, 2021, creating favorable conditions for people of the two countries to travel, exchange goods, promote development cooperation, friendly exchanges, and improve the lives of border residents. Thereby, contributing to consolidating and enhancing the good neighborly friendship between the two countries of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Thus, after the merger, Tay Ninh province currently has 4 international border gates: Moc Bai, Xa Mat, Tan Nam and Binh Hiep.

A team day includes checking maintenance plans, assigning tasks, monitoring site activities and troubleshooting if problems arise.
The national gate is 25.95m high, was built in 309 days (started on October 26, 2024), and has now completed more than 95% of the volume.
It is not difficult to see the image of workers covered in sweat.
At the height of 25.95m of the National Gate, the roof panels are gradually being completed.
