On the morning of May 26, Kim Son District Children's House coordinated with Aplus English Center to organize the Children's Festival - Welcome Summer 2024 program.
Attending the event were representatives of the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Center, leaders of Kim Son district and more than 100 children in the district.
At the festival, children performed art and martial arts performances and participated in interesting games and group activities, strengthening solidarity, bonding, exchanging and learning, and motivating them to try to study and practice, becoming good children, good students, good team members, and good children of Uncle Ho.
In the program, the District Children's House coordinated with Aplus Kim Son International English Center to organize the final round of the English speaking contest with the theme "Kim Son children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings".
Through the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 11 candidates to participate in the final round, who are primary and secondary school students in the district.
In the final round, the contestants spoke directly on stage about topics such as: the meaning of celebrating the 134th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday, 55 years of implementing Uncle Ho's will, 65 years of Uncle Ho's visit to Ninh Binh and celebrating the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers; and at the same time answered additional questions from the judges.
Through scoring, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 First prizes, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 4 Encouragement prizes and 1 Most Favorite Contestant prize by online voting.
Also during the Festival, in response to the Peak Day of Volunteering to Support Children in Difficult Circumstances, Kim Son District Children's House mobilized from benefactors, awarded 2 scholarships and 10 gifts to children in difficult circumstances in the district. Thereby encouraging them to strive to study well, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's good children.
The Children's Festival - Welcome Summer 2024 program is a meaningful and practical activity of the District Youth Union, the Young Pioneer Council and the Kim Son District Children's House to celebrate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, responding to the Month of Action for Children in 2024, and welcoming International Children's Day June 1.
