Returning to the people, in a rural area with many difficulties, especially the consequences of the flash flood in October 2022 that still exists, affecting people's lives, with affection, responsibility and loyalty, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 1, Division 324 (Military Region 4) actively joined hands to "revive" Ta Ca. Through the works and deeds, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 have left a deep impression in the hearts of the Party Committee, government and people.

Hoa Son Village, Ta Ca Commune, is the area that suffered the most damage from the historic flash flood in October 2022. It was early in the morning, but officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 and local people were present at the construction sites to participate in the work. The traces and consequences of the flood are still present here. Because the campus of the Hoa Son Village Community Cultural House still has jagged piles of rocks and soil; the roads leading to the villages are still rough; rocks are still lying precariously on the side of the road... Regardless of the hot weather, in the areas, officers and soldiers of the unit enthusiastically leveled, renovated, and repaired the traffic system.

Wiping away the sweat rolling down his face, Private Luong Van Hoach, a soldier of Company 1, Battalion 1, a Thai ethnic, from Tien Phong commune, Que Phong, Nghe An said: “My hometown is also a mountainous district, so I understand the difficulties and hardships of the people of Ta Ca commune. Especially, after the flash flood 9 months ago, the lives of the people here have become even more difficult. Therefore, in the past few days, my teammates and I have not minded the heat and fatigue to participate in helping the locality with the highest spirit.”

Blending into the working atmosphere at the construction sites were the laughter and joy of the people and the unit's officers and soldiers, along with propaganda articles on the Party and State's guidelines and policies, along with revolutionary songs. The laws in the codes such as the Law on Military Service; the Law on Marriage and Family... were edited and dramatized by the unit's officers, making the people excited to follow. After work, in the afternoon, the "mobile barbershops" set up by the soldiers in the central area welcomed the elderly and children, who were excited to line up and wait for their turn to "get beautified". Every night, in the communal cultural activity house of the villages, the people and officers and soldiers were absorbed in practicing performing arts and organizing folk games.

Mr. Kha Van Thai, a resident of Hoa Son village, excitedly shared: "The soldiers coming to the village not only help the locality "solve difficulties" in many tasks but also bring cultural light to our people. Since the soldiers came to the village, our village has always been bustling and bustling like there is a festival."

After nearly 4 days of work, the piles of rocks and soil in the area of ​​the Hoa Son Community Cultural House were cleared. On the road connecting Sa Vang and Na Nhu villages, more than 100 officers and soldiers of the unit and local people completed pouring concrete on the road after more than a day of work. The houses affected by the flood last year were also repaired and renovated by the hands and efforts of the officers and soldiers of the unit.

Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Tri Xuan, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 1, said: "Implementing the plan for a field trip to do mass mobilization work in 2023, from July 16, 2023, 150 officers and soldiers of the unit returned to the people of Ta Ca commune. To help the people achieve the best results, we organized education for officers and soldiers to promote spirit and responsibility, identifying that "People's work is like our own family". Accordingly, regardless of difficulties and hardships, officers and soldiers took advantage of every moment to join hands to help the locality with many meaningful tasks, contributing to reducing difficulties with the people.

Perhaps the happiest person in these July days is the 4/4 disabled soldier, Cut Van Xet in Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune. On the occasion of this year's War Invalids and Martyrs Day, his family received the affection and meaningful gifts from the officers and soldiers of Division 324. Receiving the gift from Colonel Nguyen Thao Truong, Division Commander of Division 324, disabled soldier Cut Van Xet said: "The care and affection of the officers and soldiers of Division 324 is truly a precious medicine that helps me ease my physical pain and be more excited to live happily and healthily."

“After the historic flood in October 2022, although the Party Committee, government, departments, branches and organizations joined hands to help and support, the lives of the people of Ta Ca commune still have many difficulties. On this occasion, with the joint efforts and support of officers and soldiers of Regiment 1, our locality has partly overcome some difficulties, especially the transportation system,” said Comrade Vi Van Man, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ta Ca commune.

Understanding the difficulties of the people, according to the plan for the coming time, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 will continue to show gratitude to families with preferential policies and support the people such as: providing free medical examinations and medicine; pouring concrete and repairing some traffic routes, community houses in the villages... Saying goodbye to the officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 and the people of Ta Ca commune, on the way back, each of us will still be filled with nostalgia for the deeds and actions filled with love in this land of many difficulties.
