Chairman of the District People's Committee Trinh Xuan Long reported on the socio-economic situation in the first quarter and key tasks in the second quarter of 2025.

Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of the District People's Committee Trinh Xuan Long said that in the first quarter of 2025, An Lao district has achieved many positive results in socio-economic development, national defense and security. However, besides the achievements, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome to complete the 2025 goals.

In terms of economy, the district's product value growth rate reached 7.14%, of which industry and construction exceeded the plan with a growth rate of 10.45%. Total budget revenue reached over 301 billion VND, reaching 57.8% of the plan, of which domestic revenue was over 36 billion VND, reaching 37.2%. In terms of investment attraction, in 2025, An Lao district was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to attract 4 investment projects. Agricultural production was basically stable, especially the area and output of the 2024-2025 Winter-Spring crop reached and exceeded the plan. Livestock herds developed stably, reaching 80.2% of the annual plan. Waste collection in urban areas reached 70%, in rural areas reached 62%, ensuring environmental sanitation in the area.

Notably, the district has completed 100% of the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with 738 households starting construction (new construction: 543 households, repair: 195 households). To date, 462 households have been completed and put into use, reaching 62.6% of the plan.

In the field of culture and society, the district has well organized activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring and promote the sports movement. Education and health care have also achieved many remarkable results. Social security work has received special attention.

Regarding national defense and security, political security and social order and safety continued to be maintained. Military training and national defense education were carried out according to plan, with 100% of the military recruitment target achieved.

However, the district still has some problems such as slow disbursement of public investment capital, difficulties in attracting investment, and infrastructure that does not meet the production and enjoyment needs of the people.

At the meeting, the leaders of An Lao district proposed that the province pay attention to and consider early approval of the investment project to build a resettlement area for the disaster area of ​​Tra Cong village, An Hoa commune and assign the provincial Traffic and Civil Works Management Board to continue investing to ensure project progress and have land for resettlement. Pay attention to investing in upgrading the asphalt pavement of DH.03 road from Km21+00 to Km31+500 of Village 01, An Toan commune to serve local tourism development....

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan highly appreciated the socio-economic results achieved by An Lao district in the first 3 months of the year.

In the context of preparing for the policy of dissolving the district level, merging communes and merging the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that local leaders need to work with the spirit of serving the community, taking care of the people of An Lao regardless of the merger or separation.

Accordingly, in the coming time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan suggested that An Lao district should focus on socio-economic development, stabilize people's lives, maintain political security and support people to escape poverty in a sustainable way. This is considered an important task both in the short and long term of the locality in the process of socio-economic development. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to ensuring residential land and production land for people, creating sustainable livelihoods through vocational training, supporting loans and orienting economic activities suitable to local conditions.

Regarding socio-economic development, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested An Lao district to focus on systematic planning to build new industrial clusters with synchronous infrastructure. Pay attention to attracting large investors to produce from local materials to both create jobs for people and create added value.

Regarding livestock farming, the district needs to focus on developing large-scale livestock farming, actively attracting potential investment projects, upgrading added value and creating a supply chain for this industry by attracting businesses to open large farms.

In forestry, it is necessary to fully survey and evaluate resources under the forest canopy, such as tea trees or ginseng.

For the tourism sector, it is necessary to focus on exploiting the potential of An Toan commune according to the community tourism model, creating additional income for the people.

During the development process, the locality pays special attention to environmental issues, collecting and effectively treating waste.

To promote the potential of forests in particular and the economy in general, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the district needs to have an innovative mindset, following the guideline of considering businesses as customers of the government, creating a favorable environment for investors, leaving good feelings and impressions with large-scale businesses, investing for long-term goals.

“We need to retain businesses that produce locally from local raw materials, so we can solve the problem of employment for people and create added value,” Chairman Pham Anh Tuan noted.

Besides, the district needs to promote administrative reform, innovate working style, and improve public ethics.

Regarding public investment, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also requested the district to urgently implement investment projects and proactively complete urgent projects before June 30, 2025; and handle debts of communes. Regarding ongoing tasks such as tax collection, debt repayment, temporary housing clearance, etc., it is required to strictly implement them, not to delay them because of the merger policy.

Regarding personnel work, the Head of the provincial government requested that localities seriously and effectively implement the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus according to the direction of the Central Government and the province. Note that the state prioritizes capable, ethical, dedicated officials who demonstrate concrete results. When the merger takes place, officials are required to have better capacity to meet the job requirements.

Bay Cuong Private Enterprise donated 200 million VND to An Lao district

Also at the meeting, Thanh Ngan Joint Stock Company (Tay Son district) supported 500 million VND, Bay Cuong Private Enterprise supported 200 million VND, joining hands with An Lao district in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

At the same time, they surveyed the actual operations of Trang Thinh Phat Company Limited (Go Cay Duoi Industrial Cluster) and An Lao Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Go Bui Industrial Cluster).

Trang Thinh Phat Company Limited operates wood chip production at Go Cay Duoi Industrial Park.

Currently, the two industrial clusters of Go Bui and Go Cay Duoi have 17 enterprises operating mainly in the field of wood chip and brick production. Of which, Go Bui industrial cluster has 8 enterprises with a total registered investment capital of 87.28 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 50 local workers; Go Cay Duoi industrial cluster has 9 enterprises operating with a total registered investment capital of 63.28 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 60 local workers. In the first quarter of 2025, the total wood chip output of enterprises operating in the industrial cluster reached more than 11,124 tons, and 110 thousand equivalent bricks; revenue of more than 37.7 billion VND.
