Contribute a small part to the national sports festival of journalists

The 17th Vietnam Journalists Association Table Tennis Championship - Sao Vang Cup 2024 has many new points, especially the organization of the Center for Journalism Culture - Vietnam Journalists Association. Early on, the organizing committee set up zalo groups to summarize the participating teams, and always notify each athlete in advance of any new information about the tournament.

The competition contents are posted publicly, the competition time is clearly shown, the competition rules, the draw to divide the groups are informed directly to each team, all are implemented strictly and seriously. The organizing committee also always listens to the opinions of the participating delegations. Compared to previous years, this year the organizing committee has known how to make the most of technology and social networking platforms in the organization process.

Although the end of the year is quite busy, in a far away province, but this year our team has five athletes who will try to participate in most of the competitions. Not to mention the competition results, like many years ago, we always want to contribute and participate in the cultural, sports and art movements organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association. Because the Vietnam Journalists Association is always a common home, a bridge for journalists nationwide, contributing significantly to the implementation of common tasks.

Strong determination, play your best

This year, the scale is larger, the organization is more systematic, creating an impression on the athletes even though the tournament has not officially started. Especially, the meticulousness from the organizing committee also motivates each member to enthusiastically practice to prepare for the tournament.

Taking place in the last month of the year, we were quite busy with work at the unit, but at the end of the day we still tried to spend time practicing and always hoped to achieve good results.

This year, the members of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Journalists Association have a strong determination, competing with all their might to protect the achievements of previous years and add many new achievements. Although we know that this year will be difficult because there are more members participating and of better quality.

The rules and regulations are stricter, and we know that there are many strong branches. However, we also consider this an opportunity to exchange and learn from journalists from all over the country.

Return to the tournament after many years of absence

Many years ago, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association participated in the Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Tournament, but for various reasons in recent years, the branches have not been able to participate. This year, the Provincial Journalists Association has returned to the tournament. Before the tournament, we spent time practicing, mainly after work, to practice together.

In recent weeks, I have joined local table tennis clubs and have had more time to practice. Personally, I am determined to spend more time improving my competitive ability and hope to gain more new skills. I hope to have the best spirit and physical strength to participate in the Tournament.

The biggest goal of the Quang Ninh athletes is to join everyone, with colleagues from all provinces and cities, without setting high goals for achievements. With four athletes, coming from different branches, we will compete in a number of events such as men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles...

The Vietnam Journalists Association's table tennis tournament is always different.

I am new to this sport and also new to the tournament, this is the second year participating. However, I always find table tennis has a special attraction, the sport brings joy along with journalism. To prepare for the tournament, in addition to practicing, I try to participate in some tournaments of provincial journalists, to create opportunities to rub shoulders, but participating in the tournament of the Vietnam Journalists Association will have its own nuances and scale.

Unlike last year, this year the tournament has changed its venue, competing at Cau Giay Stadium. I know this is a larger stadium, more professional, with modern equipment and perhaps this is also the motivation to help us compete better.

Over the years of participation, I have found that the Vietnam Journalists Association Table Tennis Tournament is increasingly organized in a systematic and scientific manner. The officials in the tournament organizing committee are very thoughtful from the issuance of regulations to timely guidance for athletes on issues related to the tournament rules and regulations. Thanks to that, athletes are proactive and timely in preparing for the tournament's content.

For the work of writing Tet newspapers and daily news articles, thanks to the support of technology, after each match we still use mobile devices to work normally. That means participating in the competition has little impact on work.
