Basically, most current Wi-Fi systems rely on “planar chips”, which means they emit signals in a very flat range. Because they are two-dimensional devices, they have a limited number of frequencies to communicate, but if you build a three-dimensional Wi-Fi chip, users can communicate in multiple frequencies at the same time.

Think of it like city streets. If we try to squeeze a bunch of cars onto a two-lane road, we run into problems. But if we add additional roads above or below other roads, that means more space for cars to pass.
