The campaign to prevent online fraud has achieved many positive results.

The campaign focuses on raising public awareness through online platforms, with the active participation of content creators, to promote a nationwide movement on digital safety. Notably, nearly 200 multi-format videos were spread on social networks, attracting more than 13 million views and nearly 500,000 interactions, from channels such as Tai Xai Tech, Spiderum, ToyStation, Khuong Dua, Linh Barbie, Color Man, Davo's Lingo, Linh Barbie and Truong My Nhan.

The campaign also launched the Online Fraud Prevention Guide, which provides comprehensive information on common forms of fraud in Vietnam, preventive measures, and technology solutions developed by Google to help users enhance security.

In addition, Google announced outstanding figures in user protection: 72% of Android users in Vietnam are confident in their devices' anti-malware protection; Google Play's advanced fraud protection feature has blocked nearly 7 million potentially malicious app installations on 1.6 million Android devices as of August 2025.

A highlight of the campaign is the “Official Government Apps” initiative – a collaboration between Google and Vietnamese authorities to authenticate and introduce more than 110 verified government apps on Google Play. This is the first time this initiative has been implemented in a country.

“The comprehensive partnership with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security has clearly demonstrated that a society-centric approach can yield positive results in equipping users with essential knowledge and tools,” said Marc Woo, General Director of Google Vietnam. “This joint effort is not just about technological solutions, but also about building trust and ensuring that every Vietnamese citizen has the knowledge to confidently develop safely.”
