According to the investment policy approved by the National Assembly, the North-South Expressway Project, West section Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) has a length of 128.8km. The first phase of the expressway is designed with 4 lanes, expected speed of 100-120km/h, total investment of about 25,500 billion VND.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son and leaders of departments, branches and localities attended the meeting at Binh Phuoc bridge point.
The project is divided into 5 component projects, of which component project 1 invests in the construction of the expressway under the PPP method, the investor will arrange about 12,770 billion VND for implementation.
The People's Committees of Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong provinces are each in charge of two component projects on site clearance and construction of service roads and overpasses passing through their localities under the form of public investment. The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province is in charge of Component Project 3 and Component Project 5.
Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project passes through Phu Son commune, Bu Dang district.
Up to now, the specialized agencies of the two provinces are urgently completing documents and procedures, resolutely clearing the land, and arranging resettlement sites for affected people. Previously, to ensure the source of materials, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province planned 17 locations as waste dumps for the project.
At the meeting, leaders of the two provinces discussed, gave opinions, and proposed key tasks and solutions to strive to start construction of component projects in April, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
