No matter how strict and tough a man is at work, he is always patient, gentle and affectionate with his little daughters. In fact, for many fathers, their greatest work is caring and being responsible for their children.

“The love between father and daughter is limitless, there are no borders or barriers that can keep family members close together. However, not everyone can easily express and express their feelings to their family members. Meanwhile, expressing feelings through writing is much easier. Therefore, a writing contest like "Father and Daughter" will help share seemingly difficult-to-say confidences in the most honest way,” writer Vo Hong Thu emphasized.

Writer Vo Hong Thu also shared that there are many writing contests nowadays, but having a writing contest about family affection, especially the affection between father and daughter, makes anyone's heart flutter.

“It is not difficult to recognize the sacred family affection hidden in the name of the contest. When I was honored to be invited to be a member of the jury of the first “Father and Daughter” writing contest, I felt moved when reading and feeling the sincerity in each story. The works that made it to the final round were all of high quality because they were meaningful stories, with sincere feelings from the writers.

Sometimes, articles do not need euphemisms or far-fetched sentences, but only need emotions and sincerity to create a sparkling, colorful picture of the deep love between father and daughter.

Rules of the 2nd "Father and Daughter" Writing Contest 2024

Requirements for entries

- Entries must be articles that have not been published on any media, radio or social networks and have not participated in other contests. Write about real stories in which the author is the character or witness, memories, confidences, and stories of a father to his daughter and vice versa expressed in the form of notes, reports, interviews, essays, diaries, etc. The Organizing Committee encourages authors to use real images of the characters in their entries.

- The article must be written in Vietnamese, 1,000 - 1,500 words long, printed on paper or sent via email provided by the Organizing Committee.

- Each author can submit a maximum of three (03) entries and must be responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the content. Copying or plagiarizing others in any form is prohibited.

- The selected entries published in Vietnam Family Magazine will be paid royalties according to regulations and will be owned by the editorial board; the author has no right to claim copyright.

Contestants : All Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad except for those who are staff of the Organizing Committee, Jury, sponsors, and participants of the contest.

- Time for receiving entries: From March 27, 2024 to June 10, 2024 based on the postmark and time of receiving mail. The Closing Ceremony and Award Gala will take place on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28, 2024.
