(Dan Tri) - Overseas Vietnamese player Andrej Nguyen An Khanh did not play well and was substituted after only 15 minutes of play in the friendly match between U22 Vietnam and Quang Ninh Club.
On the afternoon of March 16 in Hanoi, U22 Vietnam had a "rehearsal" match with Quang Ninh Club - a team participating in the 2025 National Second Division. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh gave opportunities to almost all players in U22 Vietnam to have an evaluation before shortening the list.
In the first half, the Acting Head Coach of U22 Vietnam used many new players, while in the second half he used players who have played in the V-League for many years as well as those who have been on the U22 team before such as Nguyen Van Truong (captain), Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Duc Anh, Ho Van Cuong, Nguyen Thanh Nhan...

U22 Vietnam took the lead with the opening goal by Dinh Xuan Tien. The SL Nghe An midfielder had a chance to face the Quang Ninh goalkeeper and finished coldly.
However, just a few minutes later, the U22 Vietnam defense made a mistake. Center back Nguyen Hong Phuc fouled striker Nguyen Van Son in the penalty area. The referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. Midfielder Bui Van Hieu did not miss the opportunity to score an equalizer for Quang Ninh Club.
Overall, U22 Vietnam had a good match when all the players tried hard to score points to be on the list to go to China to play a friendly match at the CFA Team China 2025 tournament.
In this match, Vietnamese-American player Andrej Nguyen An Khanh was used by coach Dinh Hong Vinh in the second half of the first half. However, the Czech midfielder only played for 15 minutes before having to leave the field. He had difficulty connecting with his teammates.
Another overseas Vietnamese player, Viktor Le, performed quite well when he was put on the field in the second half. He coordinated well with the mainstays Van Truong, Quoc Viet and Thanh Nhan on the attack line, had a few opportunities but missed them.

After the match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh had a meeting on the field with his players. U22 Vietnam will reduce the number of players before leaving for China on the morning of March 17 to participate in the CFA Team China 2025 friendly tournament.
At this tournament, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will face U22 Korea (March 20), U22 Uzbekistan (March 23) and host U22 China (March 25).
