Implementing the program "Accompanying young people to establish a career", in recent years, the Bang Gia Commune Youth Union has launched a movement to compete in studying and applying scientific and technological advances in production to meet the requirements of the economy in the current period. The branches have reviewed the needs of young people and sent young people to attend training and vocational training classes organized by the Youth Union and Youth Association at all levels. Strengthening coordination in implementing activities to support young people to start a business.
Following the introduction of the Commune Youth Union, we visited the business model of the Youth Union member Le Quoc Lam, born in 1989, in Zone 6, Bang Gia Commune. The spacious and well-furnished multi-storey house with a frontage is used as a phone repair and business store.
Lam shared: “Born and raised in Bang Gia, after finishing high school, I also struggled to find a way to make a living. At that time, the commune was poor, services were not developed, and I had no direction for farming. Around 2017, I decided to go to Yen Bai to learn phone repair. After two years, seeing that my skills were solid, I returned to my hometown to open a shop. At first, I only served the people in the commune, but gradually, seeing that the need for buying, selling, and repairing was increasing, I discussed with my family to open a larger shop. Currently, the monthly income from the shop is about 15-20 million VND.”
Grasping the market trend, finding a direction suitable to his own abilities and strengths, Lam has had a stable life, with enough money to take care of his family and educate his children. Not only finding a way to find a job and create income for himself, currently as the Secretary of the Youth Union of Zone 6, Lam also regularly helps and supports young people in the area and commune who want to learn a job or a trade.
As a bridge, the Youth Union of the commune also actively guides and helps find loan sources for young people to develop production, business and export labor. In order for young people to access capital, in recent years, the Youth Union of Bang Gia commune has done a good job of propagating and widely disseminating the regulations of the Social Policy Bank in lending capital to poor households and other policy beneficiaries to serve production and business, create jobs and improve living standards.
Currently, economic models of the Youth Union in the commune are being facilitated to borrow capital from the district's Social Policy Bank with a total amount of over 4 billion VND. From this source of capital, many young people have effectively used it to contribute to the development of their family economy. At the same time, the Commune Youth Union regularly sets out typical examples of individuals and groups in performing well the task of entrusting, examples of young people using loan capital for the right purpose, bringing high economic efficiency, striving to become rich legitimately in the locality...
Since implementing the entrusted loan source with the Social Policy Bank, every year communes have had a loan plan, the borrowers are carefully selected to promote efficiency and ensure the safety of the loan capital. Typical economic models of youth such as: Aluminum and glass production and installation model of member Le Quyet Tien; earthworm farming model of member Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc; French pigeon farming model of member Nguyen Thanh Tuan... bring high income to the family, contributing to the development of the local economy.
