For many people in difficult circumstances, the Light Up Faith Club has become a familiar name. The club was established in 2013 with 10 members and now has over 50 members. With the desire to help those in difficult circumstances, the club regularly coordinates with local authorities and Party committees to contribute to the effective implementation of social security work in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Xuan, Chairman of the Light Up Faith Club, said: From 2013 to now, the Club has mobilized philanthropists to support and donate with a total value of over 5 billion VND and dozens of tons of goods, food, and relief food. Typically, the Club has mobilized members, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to join hands to support, coordinate support, sponsor funds, resources, and implement 23 housing projects for extremely disadvantaged households, wells, and classrooms for schools with a total value of over 1.2 billion VND; in the past 3 years, the Club has provided emergency support for cases with extremely difficult circumstances with a total value of nearly 700 million VND...
Mr. Au Van Hoan, Na Keo Moi village, Hoang Van Thu commune said: My family is a poor household, with 2 children suffering from mental illness, I myself am also in poor health, and my main income comes from farming. In early July 2025, thanks to the support of the Light Up Faith Club, my family completed a level 4 house with an area of 60 m2 with a total value of 120 million VND (the benefactors supported 100 million VND, the rest was matched by the family). I am very touched by the sharing and helping hearts of the benefactors and members of the Club, this will be the motivation for us to strive to rise up and stabilize our lives.
From 2024 to now, volunteer organizations, clubs, and groups have supported over 1,000 poor and disadvantaged people, with support forms such as: building charity houses; visiting, giving gifts, giving savings books; providing emergency support, support for epidemic areas, natural disasters, fires... with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND. |
Or like the Lang Son Live Blood Bank Club - one of the trusted addresses to support hospitals and medical centers in the province to overcome the shortage of blood for emergency and treatment. The club was established in 2022 with more than 40 members, and has so far attracted more than 160 members. Mr. Trieu Gia Trong, Chairman of the Club, said: Stemming from the spirit of humanity and sense of responsibility to the community, Club members are always ready to participate in voluntary blood donation at blood donation drives and when there are patients in need of blood for emergency and treatment. At the same time, members also actively participate in propaganda and mobilization of blood donation so that people understand and actively participate in voluntary blood donation. Since its establishment, Club members have donated over 300 units of blood and nearly 20 members have directly participated in emergency blood donation for patients at hospitals and medical centers in the province.
According to statistics from the Provincial Red Cross Association, the province currently has about 20 volunteer groups, teams and clubs with more than 1,000 volunteers participating. Volunteer groups, teams and clubs were established on a voluntary basis and all have the common goal of becoming a place to share love, connect kind hearts to mobilize funds and materials to help families with preferential policies, orphans and people in difficult circumstances in the community. In recent times, spontaneous groups, teams, clubs and associations have regularly organized volunteer activities on holidays and Tet or organized calls, mobilized donations of money, and provided emergency support for people with serious illnesses, accidents, etc. From 2024 to now, volunteer groups, clubs and groups have supported over 1,000 poor and disadvantaged people, with forms of support such as: building charity houses; visiting, giving gifts, giving savings books; emergency support, support for epidemic areas, natural disasters, fires... with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.
Ms. Nong Bich Thuan, President of the Provincial Red Cross Association, said: In recent times, these units have clearly demonstrated their capacity in mobilizing both resources and human resources to support people in difficult circumstances or facing risks and misfortunes. These results are thanks to the members always being enthusiastic and dedicated to humanitarian work, being dynamic and actively connecting with businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province to call for and mobilize support resources.
In the coming time, the Provincial Red Cross Association will continue to improve the effectiveness of coordination between groups, teams, and clubs, while maintaining and expanding effective volunteer models, thereby ensuring that humanitarian activities take place regularly, sustainably, and increasingly spread.
