On the afternoon of November 29, Mr. Nguyen Huu Sau, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, said that Le Quy Don Secondary School had decided to give a disciplinary warning to the homeroom teacher of grade 6 in the case of beating a student, causing bruises on both legs.
According to Mr. Sau, after the incident, Ms. Nguyen Thi E., the homeroom teacher of class 6 at Le Quy Don Secondary School, wrote a self-criticism and accepted the disciplinary action of Reprimand. However, the school's Disciplinary Council of 5 people analyzed many aspects, so all 5 people unanimously voted for the disciplinary action of Warning.
Previously, on November 13, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported “Quang Nam: Clarifying the case of a teacher using a ruler to hit a student’s legs, causing bruises”, reflecting on the case of a 6th grade male student at Le Quy Don Secondary School in Duy Xuyen District who was beaten by his homeroom teacher with a ruler, causing bruises on both legs. Accordingly, during physical education class, 2 6th grade students of the school had a conflict with each other, in which the beaten student accidentally broke a stick and hit his friend, leaving a mark on his back.
After the incident, Ms. Nguyen Thi E., the homeroom teacher of the 2 students' 6th grade class, used a ruler to hit the soft tissue of the 2 students' legs, causing bruises. After the incident, the school suspended the homeroom teacher to serve the investigation.
