Warning about fake Facebook page calling for support for the Cuban people

On August 13, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee coordinated with ministries, branches and central organizations to organize a program to support the Cuban people with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship". This is an activity within the framework of "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025", on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, to support food, necessities and implement sustainable humanitarian programs in Cuba.

However, taking advantage of the humanitarian significance of the program, some people have created fake Facebook pages, used edited images, posted false information, and even fabricated "walking and running races to raise funds to support Cuba" to scam people, calling on them to transfer money to accounts designated by them and then appropriate it.

Faced with the above situation, Hung Yen Provincial Police advise people:

• Be vigilant, do not transfer money or provide personal information to unofficial accounts or phone numbers.
• Verify information on official channels of the Vietnam Red Cross before participating in support.
• When detecting signs of fraud, immediately report to the nearest police agency for timely guidance and handling.
