Hezbollah, Hamas and PIJ leaders meet to discuss ways to fight Israel

According to information from Hezbollah's al-Manar TV station, the head of Hezbollah, Mr. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, met and discussed with Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri and PIJ leader Ziad al-Nakhala.

At the meeting, the group's leaders assessed what their alliance must do to "achieve real victory for the resistance" in Gaza.

"The meeting... is to assess the international positions that have been put forward and what the Axis of Resistance has to do," the headline on the al-Manar article stated, referring to the Iranian alliance, Palestinian and Syrian militias, Lebanon's Hezbollah and other factions.

The meeting comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hamas and speculation about a possible ground offensive into Gaza.

The conflict flared up again on October 7 after more than two years of silence. Amidst continuous airstrikes on Gaza, the situation on Israel's southern border has also been tense due to Hamas raids and some Hezbollah raids in Lebanon, north of Israel.

Lebanon's Information Minister said on October 23 that the country does not want conflict with Israel, but threats from Tel Aviv are becoming increasingly frequent.

In response, Israeli President Isaac Herzog warned that if Hezbollah attacks Israel, Lebanon will pay the price.
