Simple imprints from Uncle Ton's life

Located on Ton Duc Thang Street (Saigon Ward), Ton Duc Thang Museum recreates the life and lasting revolutionary career of President Ton Duc Thang - an exemplary leader, comrade, close and loyal comrade of President Ho Chi Minh . The documents, images and artifacts here truly depict a simple, close but steadfast lifestyle of the ideal of national independence.

Minh Anh, a student at Ton Duc Thang University, who is participating in the Green Summer campaign, shared: “Through the artifacts, I can feel Uncle Ton’s resilient spirit. That makes me feel close and proud.”

War memories through artifacts

Established in 1975, the War Remnants Museum (Xuan Hoa Ward) is one of the most attractive destinations for tourists, especially during major holidays. On an area of over 11,000 m², the museum displays many authentic evidences of war crimes, especially during the resistance war against America.

Many foreign tourists come to learn about the resistance war against America at the Vietnam War Remnants Museum.

The topics “Consequences of Agent Orange”, “War Crimes of Aggression”, “ The World Supports Vietnam Against the War”… are vividly recreated with images, documents and original artifacts. In addition, the outdoor exhibition area with tanks, planes, helicopters… that participated in the war also impressed many young people.

Not only is it a place to store artifacts and images, it is also considered a history classroom for young people.

Ngoc Mai, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said: "We need to make efforts to study and practice to build the country and repay our ancestors' contributions."

The art of preserving history

The Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum (Ben Thanh Ward) is also a destination chosen by young people during the holidays. The architectural work combines classical French and Oriental styles, bringing high aesthetic value. Inside, many valuable works of art are displayed, from mother-of-pearl inlaid woodwork, ceramics to sophisticated artifacts.

Not only preserving history through artifacts, the museum also offers a unique approach: history and culture are told through the language of art. This is an attractive highlight, especially for young people who love creativity.

“Classroom without podium”

From Ton Duc Thang Museum to War Remnants Museum or Fine Arts Museum, all bring authentic and emotional experiences. On the occasion of National Day September 2, museums are not only places to visit but also spaces to pay tribute to previous generations, fostering patriotism and responsibility towards the Fatherland.

For today's young generation, these museums are "classrooms without podiums", places that inspire them to continue their resilient spirit and write new pages in the journey of building the country.
