The song was also performed by Tung Duong on many large and small stages, receiving support from a large audience.

Recently, on many music forums, Mot Vong Viet Nam has also been embroiled in controversy over its lyrics. Some audiences also expressed their dissatisfaction that a song about Vietnam ended with English lyrics, even though the lyrics and melody were very beautiful.

On the afternoon of June 16, the song's composer, Dong Thien Duc, spoke up in response. Regarding the description of Vietnamese people as "brown-skinned", he explained: "Figuratively, I used the word "brown-skinned" because in the beginning of the song, I mentioned my mother. Maybe before she gave birth to me and my siblings, my mother had yellow skin, but through the hard days, sleeping under the sun, blocking the wind and rain to raise us, her skin became dark brown and tanned. Putting the word "brown-skinned" in the song is my greatest respect for my parents and all Vietnamese people."

Regarding the addition of the English ending, the musician said that he composed “A Round of Vietnam” at the request of a travel and culinary program specializing in introducing the beauty of the homeland and Vietnamese people to foreign friends. Therefore, the program's organizers wanted to add an English sentence to the song to convey the song's message to international tourists more easily.

"At first, when I heard this suggestion from the program, I objected many times. Suddenly, my "child" was half English and half Vietnamese. Moreover, this is a song about the homeland. But thinking again, developing the country and integrating is not the job of just anyone. A musician like me will choose to express it through songs," the musician shared.

Previously, singer Tung Duong also explained the controversial lyrics. He said that this special skin color refers to the beauty of hard work, diligence, and the fearlessness of hardships and the hardships of the people: "The beauty of the work lies not only in the melody but also in the lyrics. The Vietnamese language and Vietnamese people are always like that, always comparing and containing messages through metaphorical images, further honoring the true beauty of the Vietnamese people. Duong sang with the most generous and passionate spirit of a son carrying Vietnamese blood and the spirit of building the country today."

Dong Thien Duc's real name is Dang Huu Duc, he was born in 1987 in a family with no artistic tradition in Binh Dinh. After leaving the programming profession, Dong Thien Duc gradually made his mark with a series of famous "hits" such as: Tomorrow people get married; Who is loyal forever; Locked separation...
